Managing Global Teams for Success

Today few disagree that globalization is critical for company success. Yet creating and managing a global team remains a challenge for companies large and small alike. Collaborating to achieve goals while navigating language barriers and cultural pitfalls requires well-honed communication, teamwork, and management skills. When the global team is virtual as well, spanning multiple time zones from US to Asia to Europe and the Middle East, an even greater level of respect, understanding and skill is needed for success.

This program sponsored by CSPA in partnership with GABA, SiliconFrench, HispanicNet, NetIP, and SIPA will provide insight into the techniques, tools and processes that US, European and Asian companies and managers have used to successfully manage global teams for success.

The inaugural first event in the series will be on June 28, 2008, and will cover:

  • Company formation: Doing it right!
  • Where is your dream team?

Mercy Corps: donate now to help survivors of the China earthquake.

We are proud to announce that CSPA has partnered with Mercy Corps to inaugurate the CSPA China Earthquake Relief Matching Program. CSPA will match dollar for dollar for any contributions that our community can donate via this program up to a total of $2,000. Mercy Corps has had a program in China for 7 years, and has already amassed $3 million for their China Earthquake Fund. They are already set up to deploy your donations to help the needy in China. We encourage everyone to help.

Please use this link to donate directly via the CSPA China Earthquake Relief Matching Program. It will track the total from this community for our matching program. For more information about how Mercy Corps is using these funds in China, please link to the MercyCorps China Earthquake site
